Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination,2012.All appearing candidates may be busy preparing for this exam.So, in this blog post,we are going to briefly explain about the Syllabus of CHSL,2012.Through Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination,Vacancies of Two Posts are filled :- Data Entry operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC).Both have a common written examination. Qualified candidates have to pass Skill Tests later on to finally selected for the posts.
This year,SSC CHSL is scheduled to be held on 21 October & 28 October,2012 at various centres across India .

Part-I -Part-I-General Intelligence (50 questions) :- Semantic Analogy,Symbolic/Number Analogy,Figural Analogy,Semantic Classification,Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification,Semantic Series,Number Series,Figural Series, Problem Solving,Word Building,Coding and de-coding,Numerical operations,Symbolic operations,Trends,Space Orientation,Venn Diagrams,Drawing inferences,Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding,Figural Pattern – folding and completion,Embedded figures,Critical Thinking,Emotional Intelligence,Social Intelligence etc.
Part-II-English Language (Basic Knowledge)( 50 questions ) :-Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms ,Antonyms,Spellings/Detecting Mis-spelt words,Idioms & Phrases,One word substitution,Improvement of Sentences,Active/Passive Voice of Verbs,Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts,Shuffling of Sentences in a passage , Close Passage ,Comprehension Passage
Part III-Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill) (50 questions) :-Number Systems,Fundamental arithmetical operations (Percentages,Ratio and Proportion ,Square roots,Averages,Interest-Simple and Compound,Profit and Loss,Discount,Partnership Business,Mixture and Alligation),Algebra,Geometry,Trigonometry,Statistical Charts etc.
Part IV-General Awareness (50 questions):-Questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries,Current Affairs,History, Culture Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.
