University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited applications for appointment of Lecturers and JRFs (Joint Research Fellowships) in coordinating Universities through National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice in a calendar year, first one is conducted in June and the second one in December. Only online mode of registration is applicable.Various details about eligibility,requirements and instructions for filling the application form has been discussed below. Candidates are advised to refer to instructions and eligibility details first,before deciding to apply online.

Overview of Examination
** Age Limit :- For JRF -Age should not exceed 28 years as on 01.12.2012
For  Lectureship- No age limit
**Minimum Educational Qualification :- Master’s Degree (Post-Graduation) with minimum 55% aggregate marks
Relaxation of 5% i.e., aggregate marks for SC/ST/Physically Challenged candidates is 50%.

How to Apply
Step 1.) Download Bank Challan Form from the link given below and remit the required amount in nearest SBI (State Bank of India) Branch.Bank will charge Rs. 20 extra .
Step 2.) Candidates who have applied earlier, i.e, candidates who have registered them self before can login using their registered e-mail and password.Candidates who haven’t registered yet , need to register before apply online.For this,they have to provide details of education qualifications and upload recent photo.Link for registering is given at the end of this post.
Step 3.) Candidates need to upload Scanned copy of recent passport size photo and Bank challan in proper format & size. Size of photos should be below 300 KB in .jpg format.
Step4.)  Login and Fill the application form correctly and after successful submission, candidates must take a print-out of Application Form,Attendance Slip and Admission Card on separate A-4 Paper.Candidates should take print-out with proper margin arrangement and in portrait layout.
Step 5.) Following enclosures are required to be submitted in co-ordinating University :-Application Form,Attendance Slip and Admission Card,Copy of Bank Challan ,Attested copies of Disability Certificate /Caste Cerificate for OBC,SC etc. (if applicable)
