UPSC SCRA Syllabus 2013-Special Class Railway Apprentices

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices ) Examination 2013 for the recruitment of Special Class Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways. This Examination will be conducted on 20th January 2013 at various centres across India.Candidates may be busy preparing for this exam,so in this post we are giving details
about the  Syllabus of SCRA 2013.Candidates have to undergo two stages of examinations before being selected for the Special Class Apprentice Post i.e, Written Exam Followed by Interview & Personality Test.
UPSC SCRA Syllabus 2013
Question Paper will have questions from 3 papers where each paper carries 200 marks.
1.)Paper-I General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test)
**English :- Questions will be asked to evaluate candidates fluency & command of the language
**General Knowledge :- Questions will be from Intermediate/10+2 Standard.
Topics -Man and his environment,Solar system and the earth, History-Politics and Society in India,Constitution of India and its characteristic features,Major political ideologies,World organization,Broad features of Indian social system,Social disorganization in India ,Money.
** Psychological Test :-It will evaluate Applicants intelligence and aptitude.
2.) Paper-II :- Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry)



3.) Paper-III :- Mathematics
Topics :-Algebra, Trigonometry,Analytic Geometry (two dimensions),Differential Calculus,Integral Calculus and Differential equations,Vectors and its applications ,Statistics and probability.
