State Bank of India recently advertised for the filling up of 2986 Probationary Officer posts in Associate Banks.In this post, we would be throwing some light on the SBI Associate Banks PO Selection Process 2014.Exam is scheduled to held tentatively in the month of November,2014.

Overview

As all of us already know, that SBI Associate Banks selects candidates on the basis of subsequent performance in written test and Group discussion /Interview.The whole selection process can be grouped into two phases : Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Phase 1

Phase 1 exam consists of Objective Tests of 200 marks and Descriptive Test of 50 marks.

Objective Test

  • Total Marks : 200
  • Duration : 2 hours
  • Mode of test : online
  • Sections : a)  Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
    b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
    c) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
    d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)

Descriptive test

Papers of only those candidates  who have qualified in each sections of Objective test will be evaluated.Descriptive test will test candidate’s English writing skills.It will  feature comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay.

  • Total marks : 50
  • Duration : 1 hr
  • Mode of test : Pen-Paper , offline.

Phase 2

Phase 2 of SBI Associate Banks  PO Selection Process 2014 include Group discussion and Interview.Group discussion have weightage of 20 marks while Interview carry 30 marks , thus, totaling to 50 marks.

Final Selection

Final selection of candidates would be made on the basis of performance in both phase 1 and phase 2 assessments.
