SSC CHSL Typing Test Pattern 2012- Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination
Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination,2012.All appearing candidates may be busy preparing for this exam.So, in this blog post,we are going to briefly explain about the Typing Test pattern of CHSL,2012. Through Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination,Vacancies of Two Posts are filled :- Data Entry operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC). Both have a common written examination. Qualified candidates have to pass Skill Tests later on to finally selected for the posts.
This year,SSC CHSL is scheduled to be held on 21 October & 28 October,2012 at various centres across India .
SSC CHSL Typing Test Pattern 2012
There is misconception among candidates that technical skill tests of both Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) are same. There are some differences between the skill tests of both posts,which we are going to figure it out for you .Only candidates that have qualified in written test are eligible for Skill/typing Test.
Skill Test for Data Entry Operator
** Skill Test Speed Requirement :- 8000 key depressions per hour on Computer
** Skill Test Duration :- 15 minutes
Candidates will be given a passage/article of 2000-2200 words that is required to be entered in computer within 15 minutes attaining speed of 8000 key depressions/hour.
Typing Test for Lower Division Clerk
**Typing Test Medium :- English/Hindi (As per preference given while registration)
** Typing Test Speed requirement :-35 words per minute for English medium and 30 words per minute for Hindi Medium
** Typing Duration :- 10 minutes
Candidates will be given a passage/article and speed will be judged on the on basis of accuracy of typing in 10 minutes on Computer
